I'd been thinking a lot about Abydos and Shau'ri, and after many rewrites this fic managed coalesce around the idea of holding on to what you have.

Teyla Emmagan/Elizabeth Weir, John Sheppard/Elizabeth Weir
I really loved this fic. It hit all of my atmospheric buttons and has this fragmentary descent into treading right along the edge of horror. Great Lovecraftian overtones and a Teyla that has a genuinely Alien feel to her.
The Rites of Hedona bysurreallis (R)
AMTDI, Het, Sam/Daniel
A re-read :D But one that I hadn't read in a loooong time. And it was just as awesome as I remembered it. To me, this fic is my ultimate AMTDI scenario that acknowledges the awkwardness and fear of consequences, but turns it into something other that just a porny interlude. It's thinky and well characterised and also rather hot as well.

Cam, Gran'ma Mitchell
Now, I've still not yet managed to see Line in the Sand and somehow got it into my head that Cam's Grandmother was an integral part to this episode and thus didn't read this fic when it was first written! Hehehe!! But it's a really delightful interlude with the kind of 'genteel with a backbone of steel' matriarch that I love to think heads the Mitchell clan.
