And now I can get down to knocking out some quick!fic, as the lack of a computer seems to have lit a big ass fire under my muse-of-doom.

I re-watched "Stargate the Movie" for the first time in about 10 years or so - and I'd forgotten so much about it! Reflecting a little, I'm slightly disappointed that Shau'ri was given such a bum deal in the TV series and that Abydos, with its walled cities (It had a name! Nagada!) and HUGE population and all of the potential it held is reduced to a rabble of tents and cooking fires. :(

I used to love moving the dial on this book and bumping out all those extra people from the bed one by one and then right at the end they'd all come back because just one is too lonely!
